Heart of Stone

Heart of Stone is a 60 page comic about two unlikely friends and their journey to return something selfishly stolen from the jungle itself.

Heart of Stone takes place in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, just outside a small town in Brazil. What was supposed to be a one-off transport job turns into a dangerous heist, and Marco Velasquez finds himself not aging, all because of a mysterious stone. Sixty years later he seeks to return it - whether to dissuade his guilt, or gain back his life, he isn't sure. He travels back to Brazil to where he meets his guide, stubborn student and part time tourist-wrangler, Pilar Flores. She wonders... what is he hiding? The pay is too good to refuse. We follow Marco and Pilar as they make their way to their final destination. Along the way they run into some hairy situations, and have some seriously close scrapes.

Heart of Stone is my capstone comic. Four years of college later, I am ending my educational career with this 60 page comic. It was a lot of work, and I really enjoyed it! I look forward to hearing what people think of it.
